Trouble switching from Intel UHD to Nvidia graphics

bg flag

I have followed the tutorial here. Everything went well, I have the correct drivers installed, and the command prime-select query returns nvidia. However, in settings it says I'm still using Mesa Intel UHD Graphics (TGL GT1), and graphical issues I assumed were from using the CPU's dedicated card still persist (distortion/black lines when there's movement as well as overheating while running things that it should be able to run easily). I am on Ubuntu 22.04, on a Dell Inspirion 16 Plus.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
