Sorry if some of my terminology is incorrect. This is my first time digging into xorg or KDE in over 10 years (has it really been that long) so what little I did know is rather rusty now.
I am running the latest version of ubuntu studio. {ubuntu 22.04.1 lts (gnu/linux 5.15.0-65 low latency x86-64)}
I have duel displays on an nvidia gpu using nvidia driver version 470.141.03
The secondary display is set up as a teleprompter so needs to be reflected on the x axis. I am applying this reflect-x through the "nvidea settings" GUI because the option to reflect is not in the "display configuration* - system settings" GUI.
After applying the setting everything works as intended until a reboot.
After a reboot "display configuration* - system settings" shows the display rotated 90deg and (I suspect) it resizes the display buffer.(it thinks the height of the tallest screen is 1440 instead of 900) This results in display scrolling. (Moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen scrolls up reveling an unusable black bar at the bottom of both screens.)
The secondary display still draws properly (mirrors along the x axis properly and is not actually rotated) so the settings are somewhat persistent but something is obviously not persisting correctly through reboots.
The linked image shows both display setting windows side by side after a reboot.
GUIs side by side
(updated to newer image. after posting I realized that the original screenshot showed the windows after I had made some changes.
How do I solve this problem or were should I start looking. I think it has to do with KDE because the screen scrolling does not show up until after I log in.
