Intermittent keyboard and trackpad lag on Asus ROG Strix G713IM in Windows 11 dualboot

gb flag

I safely installed Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on my Asus ROG Strix G713IM running Windows 11.

I have intermittent keyboard and trackpad lagging. They don't freeze, as clicks and keystrokes buffer and play out when the lag ends. The lag is usually about 10 seconds, but lags again quickly. It happens when running nothing or any combination of apps.

However when I reboot and don't just choose Ubuntu, but choose one of these options [Ubuntu with Linux 5.25.0-43-generic or Ubuntu with Linux 5.25.0-56-generic], no lagging is going on.

Any suggestions for what to do beyond not choosing that main Ubuntu option in the boot menu?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
