Why has the link mouse cursor in Firefox suddenly changed and can I change it back?

cn flag

As of today, the mouse cursor used for hovering on hyperlinks in Firefox has suddenly changed. If I remember correctly it used to like like this (how it still looks in Chrome):

In Firefox, it now looks like this:

Somehow I prefer the contrast and style of the old mouse cursor.

I'm wondering what has caused the change and how I can change it back?

This is under Ubuntu 22.04, Firefox version 109.0.1.

Update: As of today, it looks like the cursors have changed back to how they looked before. Still no idea what exactly determines the look of the cursors.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
