phone USB connection stopped working - how to make it work again?

bq flag

I sync my Samsung SE20 phone with my Kubuntu PC over USB, mainly to copy photo's. Recently this stopped working. I get an error message indicating the USB device is not available (and yes, I do approve connection on my phone): udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb1/1-3/ does not exist.

Reboot does not help.

Googling indicates some pages that are inconclusive or indicate a kernel bug - but old ones, this would have been solved years ago.

Anyone knows what might be going on and how to fix this? I should be able to copy data between devices without having to go over the Internet.

Computer: Kubuntu 22.04 Kernel 5.15.0-69-generic (64 bits)

@guiverc, when all my question was 100% Ubuntu specific with a mistake of using Mint keyword and a pice of UI that has equivalent in Ubuntu, the "user switcher" sort of say, it was bad question. So is Kubuntu flavor ok for AskUbuntu? I didn't know there is some kind of war between Mint and Ubuntu. Just trying to understand...

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
