Determining which Window has the focus

ng flag

I'm trying to find a way so that I can tell at a glance which Window has the focus using Ubuntu 23.04. I'd like to do this via the titlebar being highlighted for the active Window and I have followed the accepted solution here.

However not all Windows titlebars are obeying the css. The Virtualbox, Chromium (browser), Calibre and Wine titlebars are all remaining unchanged and I do not understand why. I have tried logging out and rebooting after making the changes. I suspect it might have something to do with Gnome versions?

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
