The latest Firefox snap version for ARM architecture stays behind

cn flag

Since Canonical forces us to use the "snap" version of Firefox in the latest version of Ubuntu, I am using Firefox snap on an x86_64 and an aarch64 Ubuntu 23.04 machine.

The latest upgraded Firefox snap version,

  • on my x86_64 machine is currently at 116.0.2-1 (snap Rev. 2987),
  • while on my aarch64 machine is still at 115.0.2-1 (snap Rev. 2918).

This fact can also be verified at https://snapcraft.io/firefox.

Why?

I see that `116.0.3-2` is the candidate for both archs (and published today for both), so could it be that `116.0.x` series has been buggy on ARM, so they're not promoting it to stable yet?

After FF version 117.0-2 was released today (?), now the latest snap version is available on both platforms.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
