I'm running Qubes-OS 4.1.0 While looking through the /var/log/xen/console/hypervisor.log I stumbled over the following messages:

What is a good practice when setting www vs. non-www server (apache)?
us flag

I have tried to configure a non-www website on Ubuntu 18.04 with Apache 2.4 and I've managed to make things work, my https://example.me works fine. But, www.example.me subdomain is also active (because I've added ServerAlias). The https://www.example.me opens as well and shows no certificate which makes me confused - shouldn't it redirect to https://example.com ? What is a good practice here - should I ha ...

cmd pipe -> System cannot find specified path

Using cmd on Windows 10 Pro 21H2, when I try

echo Hello | find "Bye"

I get The system cannot find the specified path. Same thing if trying

echo Hello | C:\Windows\System32\find.exe "Bye"

So PATH does not appear to be the problem.

How to redirect a specific list of webpages to a subdirectory

I am moving some blog articles from the root directory to a subdirectory named blog/. How do I configure Nginx to permanently redirect a specific list of web pages to that subdirectory?

Of course, I could manually do something like the configuration shown below, but I have more than 50 webpages at the root that I want to redirect to the blog/ subdirectory. Is there a simpler way?

How to ensure DNS records consistency between primary DNS servers?

Root DNS servers may be the most typical primary(not read-only) DNS servers. There are currently 13 IP addresses for root DNS servers; however, considering the IP anycast technology, more than 13 root DNS servers are deployed worldwide.

If someone wants to update a DNS record for all root DNS servers, is there some sync or replication mechanism between all these DNS servers?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
