Outlook slow connectivity - Owa no issue

For a few weeks, the clients connecting to our Exchange infrastructure using Outlook client (2016) experience some kind of slowness.

The network team checked the load balancer for mapi and did not find anything relevant. On the Exchange infrastructure, we checked the system performance. The only thing we noticed, is some latency on C drive (up to 2 at average).

Here is the infra configuration (only  ...

www subdomain not working on AWS

Joe

I am hosting this site https://whitewaterwriters.com/ on an AWS instance.

I'd like the url https://www.whitewaterwriters.com/ to work as well, but it doesn't.

I understand that this happens in a 'hosted zone' in AWS. Here's my hosted zone:

...and I understand that I have put in the subdomain redirection properly.

I run a test and get:

Using Powershell to check System logs for Log4Shell

I´m currently trying to check logs on different windows machines to check, if any Log4Shell attacks were run against our systems. The groundwork is done and easy regex patterns can be checked. If I now use the known regex-pattern for the Log4Shell attacks Powershell throws some unrecognized grouping consruct errors.

The regex should look like this:

Teamcity Versioned Settings: how to make use of Tokens

When storing configuration in VCS as Kotlin DSL, you're not supposed to hard code passwords and tokens, instead the "Tokens" should be used. The problem is, it's not documented properly.

Let's imagine I have a token credentialsJSON:78098495-5f8c-4935-82b5-03eafaf2adde containing the VCS key passphrase. How do I use it in the Kotlin DSL code?

FQDN without the hostname part?

As far as I know, A fully qualified domain name (FQDN) consists of two parts:

  1. The hostname part: A single label representing a machine belonging to one specific domain.

  2. The domain name part: Multiple labels joined with dots and representing the domain, which is basically a group of machines.

Normally, only with a FQDN can we visit a particular machine on a particular network from outside. We can't do  ...

Intel S2600CP2 BMC No IP
mx flag

I briefly had the Intel BMC working but now my router isn’t even seeing an IP address. This issue started when I brought down the server to install the RMM4Lite to enable KVM functionality. I’ve tried many different settings in BIOS but none of them work. I have also tried removing the RMM4Lite and still no progress.

Any ideas?

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
