Using Kubuntu 21.04
Game is Final Fantasy XIV using Steam Proton 5.0-10
If I disconnect the monitor or just disable the monitor, game will run at high framerates but with the monitor enabled, game on laptop screen is locked to 60 fps.
I tried adding this to '/etc/environment' and disabling 'Allow Flipping' but it did not work:
CLUTTER_DEFAULT_FPS=144
__GL_SYNC_DISPLAY_DEVICE=eDP-1-1
Though I believe it may be related since in the NVIDIA X Server Settings, under X Server XVideo Settings, it says it is synced to 60Hz monitor, though there is no option to sync to 144Hz laptop screen.
I am not even sure if screen is actually at 144Hz even with monitor disconnected. I tried forcing my Firefox to 144Hz in about:config and trying testufo.com but the "144 fps" looks much, much worse than how I remember it looked on Win10.
