Atypical version of keyboard and trackpad don't work after suspend. (After testing several fixes)

Laptop install of Ubuntu 20.04. It's a dell inspiron 5402 (non touch screen laptop). After it suspends the keyboard and trackpad stop working. I looked into it some and found several fixes.

The problem originally was both of them stop working after suspending or locking. I tried adding i805.reset to the grub command. That caused it to work for about 5 seconds after locking.

I then tried replacing the i805.reset with atkbd.reset This worked partially. They both worked after locking or manually suspending it and coming back 5 to 10 minutes later. However it broke after waking up from suspend after an hour or two. In these cases it works for about 5 seconds and freezes. USB mouse and keyboard don't work after it freezes but do work

I tried combining the two on the grub line and it worked for 15 seconds after. (I did this twice. Trying both as first once)

I saw some people in the past created scripts to restart their trackpads but I didn't try them since it didn't fix the keyboard issue too.

I also saw some people saying you need to remove other peripherals when doing the install but that doesn't really apply here.

Has anyone found a fix for this or can help me?

What make and model is your laptop? Does an external keyboard and mouse work? If so, are there any relevant lines in the output of `dmesg` after you suspend? Can you edit this information in to the original question?

Model is updated. I have tried an external mouse or keyboard. And I'll provide some info from ```dmesg``` and external inputs when it happens again.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
