I installed Ubuntu on an old laptop and connected it to an external monitor through HDMI port.
The issue is the monitor with normal settings is flashing and no screen shows up upon connecting the HDMI.
I edited the resolution's settings in Ubuntu and then it worked perfectly. The issue now is every time I restart the laptop, I have to modify the resolution manually to make the external monitor work.
How can I fix the resolution of HDMI ?
