No video on VLC when using 200% scaling on 4k screen

ru flag

I have a built-in PC with NVIDIA Graphix and two 4K screens, Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS. I need the scaling to be set to 200% because otherwise everything becomes tiny. Whenever I play a video on VLC, no matter the format, I get no image, only sound. I changed the scaling of the display to 100% after trying all the other suggestions online and it worked! However, I don't want to change the scaling back and forth every time I watch a movie... Is there anyway to keep the scaling at 200% and VLC working properly?

By the way, I'm a newbie, so please be detailed in your response. Thank you!

That would be a question for the VLC support forum.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
