Firefox no longer renders after update

ro flag

Firefox window, shifted slightly for demonstration purposes

sometimes the windows are black

A bit difficult to see, but Firefox 109.0.1 renders...the desktop...I've seen this before and it's gone away eventually, but I still don't understand what causes it.

I've tried...

  • hard rebooting
  • resizing the window
  • moving the window
  • starting firefox -safe-mode, which had the same issue

I'm using a second 'monitor' (a projector) and it's possible that's related to the issue/causing it. I turned it off and tried my monitor, but the same issue persists there.

Has anyone seen this or have suggestions? I couldn't find anyone with this exact problem.

Thank you.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
