External monitor re-staring every few minutes (Ubuntu, DVI, docking station)

I have a problem with external monitor, connected to a laptop's docking station using DVI cable, restarting (switch off-switch on) every few minutes - the screen suddenly goes black and after a few seconds the image re-appears with "DVI" info in the center (which disappears after a few seconds). My main laptop's display is also opened, so I kind of have multiple monitors configuration.

When the same monitor is connected directly to the laptop using HDMI interface, no such an issue is observed. When I connect it via docking station using DisplayPort interface, the issue sometimes occurs but rarely (is not that annoying).

My hardware & software configuration is as follows:

laptop : Lenovo ThinkPad e550 (OS : Ubuntu 22.04)
graphics card ($ lspci | grep VGA) : Intel Corporation HD Graphics 5500 (rev 09)
docking station : ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock DU9033S1
monitor : iiyama ProLite E2409HDS (refresh rate: 60 Mhz)

Theoretically, both DVI interface and my monitor support 1920 x 1080 resolution. I have "Blank Screen Delay" option set to "Never" and, moreover, the issue occures even when I'm actively using applications displayed on the external monitor (moving the mouse, clicking etc.).

Does anyone have an idea what might be the cause of such an issue? Is it rather hardware or software-related?
