Redirect gateway traffic linux
es flag

lets say you have multiple server boxes with vm's

10.0.0.0/24 => gateway 10.0.0.1 10.0.1.0/24 => gateway 10.0.1.1 10.0.2.0/24 => gateway 10.0.2.1

and now move the vm's to dev server box

10.0.0.0/16 => gateway 10.0.0.1

now the gateways 10.0.1.1 and 10.0.2.1 are not working anymore.

how to redirect the 10.0.1.1 and 10.0.2.1 traffic to 10.0.0.1?

this

ip route add 10.0.2.1 via 10.0.0.1 dev vmbr0

Users want be able to reset other users passwords (Active Directory)
tr flag

currently i face some very angry users of my Active Directory that want to be able to reset other users passwords instead of writing tickets. I told them that this is not how it works but now I just want to give them what they demand - is there some web app where i can let them reset passwords limited to a group of users? It should be dead simple, because it will be used by complete morons.

I am trying to remote to a different server using certificate authentication - this was previously working.

However I now get this error when I try to connect: An attempt has been made to operate on an impersonation token by a thread that is not currently impersonating a client

Any ideas on what would be causing this?

How to forward all trafice from microk8s cluster through firewalld?
gb flag

I have a microk8s cluster on a Centos8 host. The host uses iptables-legacy and firewalld. I have troubles getting the cluster to talk with the internet, and recently found that these two tools are standing in my way. For iptables I can do $ sudo iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT' on my host, but for the firewalld the only solution right now is to disable it, which is less than ideal. I want to configure the fire ...

I'm using Pantheon to host my website. The website is using some third-party service through API, and this service can allow only one IP address to access it.

The issue is that Pantheon changing IP addresses, so service can't work.

The question is how I can solve this in the way where I can use static IP that will be whitelisted by service, and to connect to the API through this IP, not dynamic IP o ...

A while ago I setup a custom domain for my app engine and all worked fine. I had to add a TXT record so google could verify I was the owner.

I now transferred my domain name to a different provider and readded the necessary DNS records but it doesn't seem to work anymore. I now get the message "DNS records could not be found. Certificate activation will retry automatically."

Two directories share storage without symbolic link

I am in a pickle.

I have a server (physicals machine) that has a link between a directory and a partition. I don't see a symbolic link.

The problem is that the root partition shows 0% space. Even if I delete data from other directories it doesn't effect the root partition correctly.

I deleted 200MB and it showed 2MB of free space.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
