File server with 2-factor authentication?
in flag

is it possible to secure a file server with 2-factor authentication, so that when a user wants to connect, he/she not only has to enter a password, but must also use a fingerprint or an authentication token? I know that many products offer this kind of login for the browser-based GUI of the file server. However, I'm more interested in securing the actual file access over SMB.

Does apache open and close every log on every access?
in flag

The question is about the access and error logs, particularly with multiple hosts (apache instances installed on more than one server) and keeping the logs centrally on a network file system.

Does apache close each log file after every write?

If yes, on a busy server hosting many sites each with it's own log, that would seem to be a potential performance bottleneck?

If No, what is the solution when hav ...

Inbound SMTP relay with Haraka

enter image description here

I would like to know if the following scenario is possible to achieve with Haraka (employing existing plugins).

There is a public SMTP server (let's call it a Gateway) that accepts inbound e-mails sent to any user at *.mail.domain (note the subdomain wildcard - the MX record is configured so it points to Gateway IP address) and relays it to the appropriate SMTP server (let's call it a Satellite) in the  ...

Proxmox CTs and VMs lost network connectivity

I have a a Proxmox setup on my home network which was working fine up until yesterday when the network connections in all virtual machines and containers stopped working. I believe this was after updating the kernel but I can't be sure. Could also be due to installing docker on the host.

Windows 10: how to restrict settings available to user through provisioning package?

With Windows Configuration Designer I've created a provisioning package with only one application and the settings available to a user "Test". This is a "multi-app kiosk". There is another user "Admin" which has access to all applications.

With the Policies of Windows Configuration Designer, I've restricted the available settings to only contain "network" settings.

This work well, however, this rest ...

Outlook: Invalid signature of mixed HTML/Plaintext E-Mails

while testing new security GPOs, i've found the problem that with E-Mails that contain HTML and Plaintext, Outlook always complains about invalid signatures or tempered messages, even though with the same E-Mails as pure HTML or pure Plaintext, Outlook has no problem with the signature. Can i fix this, or is this a Outlook bug?

This doesn't seem to be a problem with forced conversion, and i cant  ...

ClamAV monitoring docker exported mountpoint

I would need a general advice regarding ClamAV (v1.02+) setup in Docker environment.

I got multiple containers running on Linux (currently Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) that export their persistent directories under /var/lib/datastore/tenant_files subdirectories. Some of the applications running inside of containers allow document upload, in which I want ClamAV to scan.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
