Send traffic to only one Ingress Controller Pod
us flag

I am using HA Proxy as my Ingress Controller. It is setup with 2 replicas. Meaning traffic reaching the Ingress Controller LB service can be routed to 2 pods.

My end user application has 3 replicas. The end user service is configured with sessionAffinity:ClientIP meaning that sessions between ingress controller pods and application pods are session stuck.

This causes an issue when the 2 ingress c ...

We have a shared Anaconda install on a Windows 2016 server where users have varied access rights. We set PYTHONPATH to point a network drive (P:/code) to enable the import of custom modules. IPSec Netgear BS200 and Linksys LRT214 - Can't reach devices
ng flag

I have set up the first time an IPSec site to site tunnel.
The tunnel is up and running from a Netgear BR200 and the Linksys LRT214 Router.
Network 1 has 192.168.100.x and the Network 2 has 192.168.1.x!

Linksys displays "connected" and in the Netgear router I see the green connection icon.

Now I try to open the routers webinterface from Network 2 on the Server (192.168.100.4) on Network 1.

Ansible OpenSSL Error with apt module
pt flag

This is rather odd, I noticed it yesterday on one of my target machines, and today its happening on the rest of them too. I also tried running the playbook from a different machine and the same thing happened. It seems like this problem occurs after an apt upgrade on Ubuntu 20.04. The first time the apt upgrade goes through, all is well, but after that the module begins to fail.

I run cPanel on my server and they have it set up so every domain.com gets a subdomain of mail.domain.com -- normally this wouldn't be a problem except the mail subdomains are exact duplicates of the main domains. This is causing duplicate content penalization issues with Google across all websites hosted on the server destroying SEO efforts. After much searching, it seems cPanel has not created an on ...

Apache: Why do GET requests fail between domains that are sharing an IP?

As the subject says, I am having trouble making GET requests between domains that share an IP. This was working for quite some time but in the past couple of years it started happening.

When the problem occurred I would notify my support contact (they contact the hosting provider) and a while later the problem would "go away". But only for a while. Sometimes it would be months between occurrences ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
