Sender and From header domain mismatch causes malformed display in Outlook
jp flag

We're using Mailgun to send promotional email messages, and we have a separate subdomain set up for that purpose (mail.example.com). This domain is also specified in the Sender header. On the other hand, the address in the From header uses an example.com domain.

This works fine on the majority of major email providers, but Outlook has decided not to use the display name and address specified in the

GMail Sends Email from .uk.net Domains to Spam
cn flag

Gmail always puts emails from domains ending with .uk.net into spam, despite SPF, DMARC, and DKIM being passed.

If we send emails from other domains, e.g. ending with .co.uk, from the same mail server they are delivered directly into the inbox.

One of the .uk.net domains has just been configured and has never sent email before, the other has been around for quite a while.

This is NOT bulk email but jus ...

Similar to the question here, how do you configure this for a windows 10 machine so that you can configure Windows not to execute tampered binaries? How does one configure Windows not to execute tampered binaries?

I have managed to get this working on a Windows Server 2019 instance, but struggling to get it working on a windows 10 client machine in the same manner when following the same steps. Is t ...

Setting Apache header with conditions of excluding paths/directorys / server ips

I use a WordPress plugin called Duplicator Pro and the best way of installing with their installers is to use the servers IP rather than the domain because that way it autofills & conects to the server easier, while also not triggering multiple ModSecurity rules.

The best installation URL is:

I have a FreeBSD with a RAID running 3 Hard Disks. I was given the challenge to monitor its RAID - If a hard disk fails or it presents some problem i need to know.

btrfs - failing disk generated checksum errors, disk replaced, errors remain
ng flag

I had a pair of 3TB disks in a btrfs raid1 array.

One of these disks started failing (smartd shows bad sectors), and so I bought a pair of new 8TB drives to replace both disks in the array.

I replaced both with btrfs replace, and ran a btrfs balance afterwards - which fails on the following message:

firstly sorry if I use the terminology wrong in this post. I am completely new to AWS and network stuff in general.

Here is the problem that I am working on: I want my data generating application in a private network (private subnet) to send data through a Concentrator (another ec2 instance) that is in the same VPC as data generating app but in a public subnet. I have installed Strongswan on the  ...

ssh pass host fingerprint and private key without creating them as files

I'm trying to invoke ssh with a custom private key and host fingerprint stored in local vars rather than in files. I would like to avoid creating temp files because if my script is killed I'll get no chance to clean them up (not even with trap EXIT). My current attempt is:

ssh -o UserKnownHostsFile=<(echo -n "$HOST_FINGERPRINT") -i <(echo -n "$PRIVATE_KEY")

Does SPF provide benefits along with DKIM+DMARC?
nl flag

I have a domain I send emails from via Mailchimp and Google. I've set up DKIM for both of them and added a DMARC record too (for testing atm). I collect reports for DMARC failures and the overwhelming majority of these reports are for SPF fails.

In my understanding, SPF is an allowlist of IPs/hosts that can send emails, and DKIM is a key that the sender must use to sign the emails. To me, it seem ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
