I would like to have some common tools like: nslookup, netstat, dig, curl, traceroute, tcptraceroute, ...

Which HTTP Status Code is most appropriate for a non-cooperation response?
br flag

I'd like to send an HTTP response that indicates my server is not willing to cooperate with the requester, as a sort of (voluntarily-imposed non-legal) sanction. For example, ACME Corp stole your stapler, so you're responding to requests from ACME's IP with an XXX status code (and a response body describing its crime)- until the stapler is returned.

Some ideas:

A non-zero CPU ready (but host underutilized)

I'm having an issue with performance on a Red Hat VM, seemingly related to a Java process that seems to be quite heavy on processing and data. I'm been working through different things, but nothing has improved the performance so far.

I currently have this VM on a host, and have confirmed that I have leftover virtual processors once I calculate the core/socket/threads.

I have been testing a DDoS attack in my local network via docker. Each image has loaded with an "evil" DDoS file.

I tested simultaneously several containers attacking at the same time. On the image below it is possible to see 6 attacks (peaks). 1,2,3,4, 10, and 15 containers respectively running at the same time (each attack represents one peak).

What caught my attention is, the peak of the attacks  ...

Domain name not resolving to custom nameservers

I set up a linux VM on azure running centos 7 and installed plesk obsidian. I configured the DNS settings there and was told to first update the glue records on namecheap, then set the nameservers to my custom nameservers: ns1.domain.name and ns2.domain.name. I have done all that yet it fails to resolve the domain name. I have waited for more than 24 hours yet still the same.

Can we assign the multiple cores of different hypervisors in same cluster?

I have configured the Three hypervisors with the OnApp. As all the Hypervisors use the SAN storage, if any hypervisor gets down, VPS hosted on the one hypervisors boots on two hypervisors.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
