Nautilus hides my second SSD

Why does Nautilus keep hiding my second SSD? It's formatted as ext4 for additional storage, and it's also set to automount. The problem is that sometimes it's visible, sometimes not. This Ubuntu 21.10.

Is there a way to run WSL AND a vm?
co flag

I'm using WSL to run code on my windows machine and whilst it works, I'd really like to have a full ubuntu desktop environment so I can use command line tabs for example as well as unlocking all of the features the distro offers. Seeing as hyper-V is disabled, is there a way to get around this and run WSL with a VM?

Despite haviing ClamAV-Daemon installed, LMD / inotify always execute usr/bin/clamscan for scans, rather than using clamd, causes 100% CPU usage spikes.

I've checked the /usr/local/maletect/conf.maldet and I cannot find a setting to change which scanner LMD/inotify utilizes for scans?

I have already place CPUQuota and MemoryHighvalues on/lib/systemd/system/clamav-daemon.service, but the settings are i ...

Setting default configuration for input/output bluetooth sound devices
in flag

In my case I'm offered 5 different configuration options for "Output Device" configuration and if save device is chosen from "Input Device", it resets "Output Configuration".

So basically one specific Input/Output configuration works, but I'd need to configure it every time I connect headset. Is it possible to specify default configuration, that would be picked up automatically?

Upgrade Nextcloud desktop client in Ubuntu to version 3.4.2, session closed, no way to start the session

I upgrade Nextcloud desktop client in Ubuntu from version 2.6.2 to version 3.4.2. While everything worked well before, now I'm left with messages saying "session" is "closed" and there seems to be no way to connect as before, with commands on the right of the account details.

Wifi and Bluetooth on MSI Pro Z690-A Wifi motherboard

I built a desktop computer for my son at Christmas; it’s all working well except the wifi and bluetooth which came preinstalled on the Mobo.

I installed 20.04.3 LTS desktop, but when Wifi and BT wouldn’t’ work I wondered if it might be that the hardware is very new, so changed to Ubuntu desktop 21.10. Still unable to get either to work. The GUI menu just doesn’t find any BT or Wifi adapte ...

How can I view my Wyze Camera live video stream on Linux Ubuntu?

I have the Wyze Cam V3.

Constraints:

  1. I really don't want to lose the ability to view the video feed from the app on my phone when I leave the house.
  2. Ideally, I won't lose any other modern features Wyze provides, and automatic firmware updates will still take place.

How to let ubuntu terminal show 'lines:xx-yy zz% rest' at the window bottom rather than '--More--'

When there are too much contents to show completely (e.g. dpkg -l), terminal showed 'lines:xx-yy zz% rest' at the window bottom in the past. However, after accidentally deleted some files, terminal now shows '--More--' at the window bottom. Now I cannot scroll at all and only 'enter' key can display the next line, which is so inconvenient. The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
