I have Kubuntu 21.10 and recently reinstalled Plasma 5.22.5,and now receive an annoying popup Authentication Dialog "you need to supply a username and password to access this site mail.google.com".

I google mail on Chrome browser and have logged out and in again, no change. I do not think I have evolution, thunderbird, kmail or any other mail client on my system. Kwallet is not enabled.

Tool to remove unnecessary packages

A couple of years ago I tried a nice utility application. It allows user to remove unnecessary packages one by one. During a removal process it gives a little description about every package and then asked if I wanted to remove that package.

Now I cant recall application name.

Can anybody identify this application based this description?

UPDATE: The application was command line application.

backlight problem after newest 20.04 update

After the most recent software update, my computer screen remains black when I try to come out of suspend state. No response. All I have able to do is reboot. I run Ubuntu 20.04 dual booting with Windows on an HP Pavillion laptop

Does anyone have a suggestion about how to resolve this?

I'm trying to connect my Keychron K3 keyboard with my PC via bluetooth, but the keyboard is not listed. So I've tried it on my office laptop there it works.

Both devices running Ubuntu 21.10 with kernel 5.13, the only difference is, that my laptop runs with BlueZ 5.6 and my PC with version 5.56. So I decided to upgrade.

Why can't I see my shared folder from windows 10 anymore?

I am running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS via Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1 on Windows 10. I have one shared folder auto-mounted with full access, This has been working for a long time now, but I can't see the folder this morning in Ubuntu. I haven't changed anything except for updating Ubuntu.

Browsers can't detect my webcam but it works in cheese

Suddenly, my webcam stopped working in my browsers even though it works if I run the cheese application in the terminal. I am testing it with this website (and many others) on Google Chrome (incognito mode and Firefox) and I get this error message:
