Customize tile labels in exploded view

In Ubuntu exploded view the name under the tile for a VSCode window looks like this (imagine this is one of multiple windows in exploded view)

enter image description here

So it goes {File} - {Project} - Visual Studio Code.

I'd like to be get rid of the {File}, or at least make {Project} first which is what my eyes are looking for. Might seem like a nitpick - but I'm aiming for seamless window switching.

Unable to use bluetooth headset, but "connecting" works. Yet, no Audio Profile
br flag

I have a Sony WH-CH700N Bluetooth Headset. On my previous Ubuntu it worked perfectly fine. Now I'm using a different notebook with Kubuntu on in and I can't use it.

It's detected immediately. Strangely I am not able to select an Audio Profile. Also, I can't do anything meaningful in "Setup" (it just says it's configured successfully).

Found and "connected"

It also can obtain the information from the device: Information of Device

High Fidelity Playback (A2DP Sink) Output over a bluetooth headphone, and same device for Input (mic) never work together
cn flag
jar

I have this frequent issue whenever I use Zoom on Ubuntu 20.04 that my Bluetooth Headphones never work in High Fidelity Playback by default. But I can go to the Sound settings and manually change it to A2DP Sink, which greatly improves the sound quality. But the issue is that when I change the Output to High Fidelity A2DP Sink, the Input setting automatically changes to Internal Mic (from Laptop).

Photo source file missing or Bogus header data for .bmp images

I am generating an image dataset through a simulator and the files are generated in .bmp format. The simulator is running on Windows and I need to then use the images on Ubuntu 20.04. I will need to do some processing on the images.

Before implementing my pipeline I was going through the image dataset qualitatively, i.e. I was opening random images with the Ubuntu Image viewer and/or with Shotwell view ...

How env var is resolved in distroless container?
in flag

I am using a distroless container for my app and normally I start my app as follow:

java -jar $ARG1 $ARG2 app.jar

In distroless image I gave only

CMD ["app.jar"]

Args are predefined env var in container or local machine. The point here is that AFAIK env vars are resolved by shell/bash but when the container has no sh/bash how env vars will be resolved. I am running my app in K8S and the app is able  ...

How to upgrade libc6 (glibc) beyond v 2.31 on Ubuntu 20.04?

I am using the Stockfish chess engine within some GUI, but yesterday it stopped working. I hadn't changed the engine, nor the interface, but when I tried to run the engine it "terminated with code...", but it didn't output any code. The only thing that could have changed is that I regularly upgrade my packages: sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade, and I guess that must have broke it. I i ...

Bash script file extension

I have a server where I have different kinds of scripts.

Those scripts are to be opened with different shells such as:

the .sh extension is dangerous to me especially if I have not connected to the server for a longer time. Or if someone unfamilliar needs to do a stand-in.
I might accidently execute sh ./do_another_thing.sh

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
