Asus Bluetooth dongle worked on Ubuntu 16.04, but is not found on (a fresh install of) Ubuntu 20.04
cn flag

So I've bought an Asus Bluetooth 5.0 dongle, which worked nicely without any installation on Ubuntu 16.04. After a complete wipe of my machine and a reinstall to a fresh/vanilla Ubuntu 20.04 I don't see a bluetooth dongle in the system settings.

lsusb identifies the dongle as "Bus 003 Device 022: ID 0b05:190e ASUSTek Computer, Inc.", but the 'Settings' app tells me that there's "No Bluetooth found".

I am running MariaDB 10.3 on Ubuntu 20.04. Now MariaDB is not running and one database in it. Can I uninstall the MariaDB 10.3 retaining database? My plan is that install a higher version of MariaDB and get back the existing database. If so, which commands do I have to apply?

UFW VPN Killswitch doesn´t work, stopps all traffic?
ai flag

So Nordvpn's new update basically messed up the killswitch and I wanted to set up one myself in order to maintain some basic privacy.

I followed this guide mainly: https://adamtheautomator.com/linux-killswitch/ but after it didn't work I tried other things as well.

The OVPN files used are downloaded form NordVPN's site

Aliasing on screen only to eyes. Clean when captured
za flag

When I see DDD window in my monitor, (resolution 3840x2160), the menu names are a little blurred (like it's coming from aliasing). But if I capture it with capture program, it is clean. So it is only optical problem. How can I fix this? I don't know when this started. DDD is a display debugger (a gui program, running with gdb inside). I'm using ubuntu 20.04.

I have dual-booted Ubuntu 20.04.

I suspect there is problem with disk consistency and I can't boot into Ubuntu. Last time I was using my PC it powered off because the battery drained to 0%.

Now on boot, my system is showing fsck excited with error code 1, and entering into emergency mode. It gave me this message:

I can not set upper case Samba shared file name in Samba
pt flag

I created shared files via Samba. For example, I have a folder named TEST and I wrote it as upper case. It appears as lower case on windows. I just tried making the leading letter capitalized and it worked, but when all letters are upper case, windows shows as lower case. How can I solve this problem?

I also tried settings such as Default case Perverse case, but I could not get any results.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
