I'm using apache2 to host a website on Ubuntu Server. When I try to load the page from a browser, I get the "this page redirected you too many times" error. I don't have any duplicate files or anything that's redirecting the page. If anyone could help, it'd be very appreciated!

Ubuntu 21.10 Gnome 40 Citrix Keyboard Combinations
do flag

Since I started using Ubuntu 21.10 with Wayland & Gnome 40 I am having issues with Citrix.

The issue is the keyboard combinations are being intercepted by Ubuntu (Host), and not passed through to Citrix (Client).

For example, when in a Citrix session, alt+Tab cycles through all the open windows on Ubuntu (Host) not through the Citrix windows (Client). All the keyboard combinations are behaving ...

How to compile a GAP program in Linux/Debian?

I installed GAP in my Ubuntu 20.04.

I can write programs and compile them using terminal by writing gap then do the things that I found in GAP manual in your website without any difficult.

But, if I closed the terminal I lose everything, so obviously I have to write a program in a text editor first, then save it (this is my first problem do I have to save it as a .g file or .gap file or....?), next  ...

After today's upgrade, the mouse and keyboard are not recognized. If I use Grub to boot to ...91 all is well. Keyboard works fine in Grub. On ...92 I get the login screen but cannot log in without mouse or keyboard

I am trying to install plugins on Gedit v3.36.2 under a clean Ubuntu 20.04 installation. I'm opening the preferences but I checking/unchecking the various options doesn't work: Gedit doesn't listen!

The weird thing is that I can check/uncheck only a certain amount of options (i.e. "Display grid pattern", "Enable text wrapping") but when I change those and quit 'Gedit" then the settings aren't sav ...

How to draw with a stylus while screen-sharing in a Zoom call?
vn flag

At least with my setup, drawing with a pressure-sensitive stylus in Mypaint does not work while screen-sharing in a Zoom call. It is so sluggish (in the sense of recording a new line position only every 50 pixels or so) that it is unusable. The problem may or may not happen with other screen sharing software as well. So I'm happy both for a solution for Zoom calls, and for any solution using an alternat ...

What is the youtube-dl best format?
us flag

I'm downloading a video with youtube-dl and trying to get the best possible sound quality. Youtube-dl has an option --audio-quality best that is supposed to achieve that. As I would expect, that doesn't conflict with the --x option for extracting audio. But how do I play the audio back? With audacity, I have to specify the format of the input.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
