I am currently running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on Lenovo Ideapad L340. The touchpad two-finger scrolling is too fast.

Tried Solutions like: xinput --set-prop <id> 'Synaptics Scrolling Distance' 8 8

but getting the error: property 'Synaptics Scrolling Distance' doesn't exist, you need to specify its type and format

Can anyone tell some easier way to do that. Graphical Interface would be helpful. I  ...

When I click sleep or sudo systemctl suspend, it seems to power down, screen turns dark for about 2 seconds, then it powers back up and goes to the lock screen.

Resize ubuntu partition after removing windows on dual-boot
cn flag

A long time ago I was using dual-boot and I reserved a 100gb partition for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on a 1 tb hard disk. Now I have deleted windows via the OS-uninstaller tool and I want to merge the remaining partition to the partition with Ubuntu. There are a few files in the remaining section. Is there a way to merge the partition without formatting it?

What madness is preventing access to my smoothieboard web server?
br flag

I've been installing stuff on a new ubuntu 20.04 computer to run my 3D printer. I have a crossover cable between the smoothieboard in my printer and an ethernet connector on my ubuntu system. I've configured the ethernet to manually be 192.168.2.1/24 and configured the smoothie to manually connect to 192.168.2.2/24 with 192.168.2.1 as a gateway. For some wild and crazy reason, if I go to 192.168.2.2 in  ...

"bluepy-helper" uses 100% of single core all the time
ro flag

Some process called bluepy-helper uses 100% of one core all the time. I don't know what this is related to. Earlier I used to have this computer connected over the wireless and then if I killed this process it caused all connections to stop working a little later so I let it run.

Now I have this home server connected with ethernet and wifi is turned off via rfkill but this still keeps running.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
