Strange Problem in VINO, XUbuntu related to vnc password
cn flag
2.1

If I set the vncpassword, lets say: trump123 in Xubuntu as following:

gsettings set org.gnome.Vino vnc-password $(echo -n 'trump123'|base64)

then, surprisingly I can remotely access this Xubuntu using MULTIPLE set of vnc passwords: trump123, trump1234, trump12345..., though I have set only trump123

Could You Please tell me what must have gone wrong ?

Thanks

Cannot remove one of two ubuntus
cn flag

I used to have an ubuntu installed on my second SSD (250 GB) but I had to re-install it because it crashed. Now I have only half of the drive available (118 GB) and two ubuntus in boot manager. There is also some windows-related partition that I don't need anymore.

I read a few topics about it but none of them helps. I cant remove those partitions or merge them to have just one, big partition.

Unwanted Auto-mounting
dk flag

I have Ubuntu set to auto mount two of my drives, which it successfully does every time I boot the system.

However, sometimes shortly after I boot my system Ubuntu will start to mount the other five drives I have in my computer. It seems to mount these other drives in a different order every time, mounting one after another until all of the drives are mounted. It's quite annoying.

I have dual boot installed in my machine. On windows the network interface works fine, however, in ubuntu, I cannot seem to get it to work. For starters, the wireless interface will only capture very dim signals. Unless my computer is standing directly next to the source, it is unusable. Even using ethernet, although the connection works, several times every minute I get a ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED error. Thi ...

I have a public repo with 2 packages available. It's set up with reprepro and the thing is signed with a GPG key referenced by SignWith instruction in public/conf/distributions. Packages are added with reprepro -b public/ --ask-passphrase includedeb focal mypackage_amd64.deb.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
