haproxy not working when upgrading to version 2.2 (reqadd doesn't exist any more)
th flag

[I erronously had posted this question on stackoverflow]

On my debian buster server I had a perfecly working haproxy (v1.8), which I use for managing certificates for my web sites.

haproxy listens to port 443, and passes requests to a varnish+apache system.

When upgrading to debian bullseye, the haproxy (v2.2) service doesn't start any more, and the log says:

Can Squid be configured to block URLs that specify an IP address instead of a host name?
in flag

I have a non-transparent Squid proxy (v5 running on Ubuntu 20.04) which serves as a gateway from my private network to the internet. In the network there's a victim machine for malware analysis, and some applications on it are configured to use the said proxy (and malwares may or may not use the proxy settings). I want to make sure that any requests whose destination domains don't match my whitelist wil ...

I have a PowerEdge R815 with quad Opteron 6272 and a faulty DIMM slot at A2. The system still boots with no DIMM installed there, but with warnings of an invalid memory configuration. I can silence the warning, but what kind of performance penalty can I expect?

Exposing and managing a rotating pool of proxies through a single ip and port
cn flag

I have a question regarding the infrastructure and setup of managed proxy pools.

Many proxy services provides access to a rotating pool of proxies through a single ip, using auth for specifying access parameters, session id etc.

An example of this would be BrightData, formerly named Luminati.io: http://lum-customer--zone--session--const:password@session-123.zproxy.lum-superproxy.io:22225

haproxy: close or change port 80 of stats page

The http-port has to be available for another usage.
Port 80 of the stats-page has to be closed or moved to another port.
Removing mode http in the default section disables the page. echo >/dev/tcp/hostname/80 returns '0' -> port 80 is already reachable.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
