In Ubuntu 20.04,is it possible to make clicking the sidebar icon to show a glance of all of the opened instances of the similar app?

Is there any plugin or other OTC GNOMEish desktop manager with such features?

And more info, please help me to get convinced to don't expect this capability by advising me on alternative practices...

I installed the latest 18.04 updates with Software Updater and hit upgrade (to go to 20.04 from 18.04) and nothing happened. According to Synaptic, I have no broken packages.

I would like to stick with the GUI upgrade process rather than the command line.

I don't know if this is related, but I recently uninstalled openssl1.0.2 because 1.1.1 was also installed and the 1.0.2 headers were preventing m ...

WiFi Power Management Keeps Turning On
ar flag

I needed to speed up my Wifi, so I ran sudo iwconfig wlp2s0 power off which turned off power management. To check, I ran iwconfig and it was successfully turned off. But after restarting, the power management was back on! Why does it turn back on when I specifically turned it off?

It also turns back on when I unplug the charger and such.

Here's the output of iwconfig:

Why doesn't the "watch" command work on an alias?
sh flag

So I've made my customized alias command and tried to use it with alias, but my alias was not recognized while concatenated with the watch command.

So I tried to make a thread of it and fortunately, this one helped me out.

But what is the reason for this?

I've created an alias in my .bashrc which works perfectly fine.

alias gpu='sensors nouveau-pci-0100'
alias cpu='sensors coretemp-isa-0000'

I'm trying to install Google authenticator on Ubuntu.

I tried sudo apt install libpam-google-authenticator which results in the error sudo: apt: command not found. Shouldn't apt already be installed on Ubuntu? I have tried several commands with apt. Beware I am very new to Linux.

When I use the command lsb_release -a this is the output:

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
