Most of the time I boot, I enter into grub command line.If I type 'exit' into the command line,I get to the grub menu and everything works properly

It has only one drive: 1 TB HDD

I have tried reinstalling whole OS but it didnt solve problem

I have also tried Boot-repair tools( Recommended repair)

I have installed 2 OSes in different two different disks.

  • SSD (250GB) installed Windows 10
  • HDD (500GB) installed Ubuntu 20 (Mostly used)

Windows 10 seems to be installed with legacy mode and Ubuntu 20 in uefi mode

Now when I start my computer the default OS is Ubuntu without showing grub options. It directly boot up in the Ubuntu.

Now What I want is that I would like to have Grub option before any OS bo ...

Kubuntu shuts down after entering sleep mode

When my Asus Tuf fa506qm comes back from sleep mode - all keys on keyboard trigger opening "Shut down menu". My version of kubuntu is 21.04 and kernel 5.13.8

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Ubuntu ethernet interface disabled after sleep from suspend

Suspend Ubuntu (Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS), Ethernet is disabled, didn't find proper method to bring it back except restarting the system.

ifconfig -a can list the ethernet interface but can't bring it up.

Cannot connect via WiFi / DHCP after using ProtonVPN

Installing matlab, input boxes greyed out

I am trying to install matlab R2021A on 21.04 but the typing input behaves weirdly.

I run sudo ./install and the install client pops up. Here I have the problem that I can type straight away but if I click on the window I can no longer type into the input box. This becomes a problem when I have to enter the login name later on and the cursor is not automatically in the right box and so I am stuck ...

Renaming a file using a name of another file in the same folder

I have a thousand folders containing two files: one of them with a random name (mp4 extension) and the other with a name (srt extension).

I intend to replace the random generated file name by the other file name, keeping extension (mp4, mkv or avi) contained on the same folder. By the way the name of the files use to include () and other foreign characters (ó, ü, etc).

Laptop with external monitors. Screen splits and shakes

I am having an issue with external monitors and Ubuntu. Whenever my laptop goes to sleep and then wakes back up, this happens. The screen seems to split and then shake. It sometimes happens to one monitor, sometimes both, sometimes neither.

I've learned that if I go into display settings and change the resolution and then revert back it goes away. I would rather find out what the actual issue is so that  ...

Nvidia Cuda installing error: dpkg locked

I was downloading Cuda using my Linux (Ubuntu) terminal, it returned me with such message:

I'm trying to update my system to get 21.04 but I'm facing some issues when trying to update

on running sudo apt upgrade I get

I dont see bluetooth in rfkill list in Ubuntu 20.04

I am trying to start Bluetooth service in Ubuntu 20.04.

I have installed Bluetooth manager and it shows "bluez daemon is not not running, blueman manager cannot continue, probably means there were no Bluetooth adapters detected or Bluez daemon was not started"

I ran command in terminal and got rfkill list and there was no bluetooth listed only wireless Lan.

What do I do?
