Configure 20.04 as a VPN Router

I'm a beginner ubuntu user. I've been searching the internet for months on how to do this and I literally even partially took an online course on networking and I still made no progress. I'm trying to configure a desktop with two ethernet ports as a VPN router. The setup I have in mind is this

WAN---> Modem ---> VPN Router ---> WAP & switch ---> LAN

I'm trying to make it so that

ZFS - grub zfs detection failed

I installed with my root pool as rpool before the installer had the option.

My main HDD bit the dust, so I'm now in the process of resilvering and in the meantime I am reinstalling grub on the new drive. Unfortunately I cannot get ZFS to be properly detected. I get the dreaded error: unknown filesystem. error from grub.

Note that I don't think it has anything to do with resilvering because I am probing  ...

A true cross-platform handwriting app
cn flag

MS OneNote is nice, but its snap counterpart on Ubuntu is kind of meh. Xournal++ is awesome and has now a mobile version. Except, so far it's just beta and drawing gets jerky after a couple of lines already.

Is there a notes taking app which would be available on Windows, Linux and Android?

My typical scenario: I want to draw stuff on my tablet and then open it one desktop and be able to edit it.

Ubuntu 21.04 screen share -- how to enable copy paste over vnc?
br flag

As stated in the title, Ubuntu 21.04 under sharing enables vnc and you can enable control as well. But copy/past is not working when connecting from another machine using RealVNC.

Is there a hidden setting to enable this? I been trying to find commands like vncconfig and things like that but they are not installed, I am assuming Ubuntu screen share uses some other software.

Unable to connect external monitor via usb-c

I've been having issues getting the external monitor via the usb-c display interface working. I've tried running under kernel 5.4, 5.8 and 5.12.16 on Ubuntu 20.04, and also tried 5.13.1 after upgrading to 21.10. Also tried various combinations of proprietary nvidia drivers (460, 465) and Nouveau.

I've been consistently getting the same error in dmesg, which yields 0 results when searched

scrot command overwrites screenshot

I am using LXDE and created a PrtSc hotkey that uses scrot to create a screenshot, but it's overwriting the file, again and again. I want it to create a new file every time I hit PrtSc. However, when I am pressing Shift+PrtSc to select the area to capture, it's creating a new file every time I am using it.

The command I used to create the hotkey is:

Is there any way I can set this up fiddling with /etc/hosts, resolv.conf or whatever?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
