Is it possible to recover ubuntu 20.04?

Somehow I ended with an unbootable system. I traced the problem to my /lib folder and possibly to other system folders

I currently have this ls -lsha lib lib32 lib64 libx32 usr/lib32/ usr/lib64 usr/libx32/

Systemd automount does not work
cn flag

I have tried everything in this forum. Does anyone really know or is it all trial and error?

It will mount using:

systemctl start mountpoint.mount

after the system is up and running. However, when using the .automount in systemd, it does not work.

I have tried using the server name & also by IP address, neither one works on boot. I even tried to modify systemd config options as well, still not  ...

Mouse and Keyboard Take Several Minutes After Boot to Function
cn flag

I feel like I've seen someone else mention this online but I'm having the hardest time finding this specific issue and not some variant. My usb mouse and keyboard function fine in Ubuntu, and in bios, but when the login screen appears it takes several minutes for my devices to work. It's not a huge issue, it just confuses me as Windows 10 doesn't do this, and thus by comparison starts up faster for me.  ...

Local repo doesn't work on Ubuntu 21.04

When creating a package from multiple .deb files using dpkg-scanpackages it works on all systems except 21.04 which gives an error when trying to do sudo apt --allow-insecure-repositories update saying that the "Packages" file is missing.

On all the other systems this file is created automatically, and placed into /var/lib/apt/lists/_home_username_path_to_the_repo but on 21.04 that file is a symli ...

I am having some issues after an interrupted upgrade. After doing sudo apt update, I ran sudo apt upgrade and I got:

So, I ran

sudo apt-get --fix-broken install

and the output was:

MythTV, and MySQL 5.7 vs MySQL 8.0
ru flag

I have MythTV 3.1 installed. Haven't used it for a while, so I thought that I would play with it for a bit.

Its database currently uses MySQL 5.7.

I noticed that for Ubuntu 21.04, MySQL 8.0 seems to be the norm. Don't know why it wouldn't have gotten upgraded when I went from 20.10 to 21.04.

Is it safe to install MySQL 8.0 (it'll automatically remove MySQL 5.7)?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
