Benchmarking a GPU on a headless node (one without a display or monitor)

How can I benchmark a GPU on a machine that has no display connected to it?

I am provisioning VMs with different types of GPUs. I want to benchmark the GPUs in order to compare them. But they're (remote) VMs. There's no display.

I tried for example running glxgears in tty, but it says there's no display.

Note that these are the currently available GPUs that I can provision. They're Nvidia.

Banshee can't find my music after changing HD mount options

So, after spending a few days setting up my music library just the way I wanted it... I made the dumb decision to play around with the auto-mount settings in the disks utility which has broken all the functionality of the music library I built.

Previously, the HD containing all of my music files was in /media/Cactus/Etc/Music and because of the new auto-mount instructions, the folder is now in /mn ...

Linux novice here. Enjoying learning to use the terminal to get things done. However, as the question says, in almost every application on Ubuntu, I seem unable to select text without a floating version of it appearing and following my mouse around the screen.

How may i make filename completion in less case insensitive?

My INPUTRC environment variable specified file contains set completion-ignore-case on and this works as desired in bash, but not in less. For example in bash lower case r<tab> will complete README, but in less i still have to type R<tab>.

When I install gnocchi-api on Ubuntu 20.04, the service is not created. Instead apt reports "Will not register gnocchi endpoint this time (no user request for it)" but I cannot find any way to request the endpoint.

The problem is that openstack guide requests this service to be restart and of course ubuntu says that the service does not exist.

I've been researching for hours on how to fix my problem, and have just decided it is probably best for me to just restart the process using what's recommended to me. The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
