GPG Decrypt: Bad Session key / Variable Unset / Exclamation Mark
us flag

I am trying to decrypt a gpg file, but am continually getting the following error:

gpg: decryption failed: Bad session key

I realised afterwards that the gpg passphrase (which is set by a script) has an exclamation in it

passphrase="my!pass"

When setting via TTY, bash complains

-bash: !pass: event not found

When I echo the variable, it's unset.

My bluetooth earphones has poor sound quality on Kubuntu
pk flag

When I play a video or music an annoying noise starts.

I tried it on windows and my phone and the quality is great, my earbuds even support noise cancellation, anyone know how can I fix this issue?

I've searched online, some people say to set A2DP in audio settings but it's already set and does not do the trick.

My earphones are Lenono LP6.

Updated my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 (503Q) to Kubuntu 21.04 on a second SSD. I updated to the most recent kernel 5.14.6. I followed this link exactly.

HERE is the grub menu error I am seeing. Any advice? (Also, it worked with Secure Boot off, but I would like this enabled).

System (often) freezes after hibernation
br flag

I'm running Kubuntu 20.04 with Linux 5.11 on Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ARH05.

Hibernation mostly works without problems, but sometimes the system freezes after resume. I can see the mouse pointer, but I can't move it. Switching TTYs doesn't work too.

Here's a kernel log I was able to get:

20.04 killer e3100 NIC will not enable
ru flag

I have recently purchased a high-spec clean machine, and installed 20.04 on it. I find that the Intel Killer E3100 card does not seem to be enable-able. The card itself has a wireless interface as well as Ethernet. It's supposed to be very fast. I get very slow wireless speed (presumably from a wifi adapter elsewhere in my system, as you'll see below) and no Wired Ethernet connection at all via the plug.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
