de flag

I am trying to update glibc 2.31-0ubuntu9.2. As an internal scan has picked this up as vulnerable.

When I use sudo apt-get update then sudo apt install glibc I am getting nowhere with it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

If I check the sound device in the menu-bar in Ubuntu, it is shown that the headset is connected

I cannot run VS Code locally and and use Remote SSH developement, because I am using the Tails OS on my local machine.

But it should be straightforward to use VS Code remotely through VNC. So I am running VS Code in an Ubuntu instance in the cloud, and connecting from my local machine using Remmina.

However, when connected to the VNC server with Remmina, I find that most of the CTRL key sequences do not ...

co flag

I needed Ubuntu 21.10 (Impish Indri) to run my new motherboard video, however it seems the the Epson release for imagescan is about a year behind for 20.10. I use imagescan to allow a command line interface to the FF640 high speed scanner. I am aware of epsonscan2 gui interface but wanted to utilize my current app to control the scanner. I recently installed slick-greeter, and have wrestled with various configuration issues, and spent quite some time searching various threads across various distros for the issue I'm seeing.

That is, when I first boot, I am met with a completely black screen. However, when I swiitch to a TTY (all I have to do is switch to a TTY, I don't manually start the service or log in or anything), I can pre ...

my problem is similar as in here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/59141447/why-does-the-status-of-mongo-throw-me-code-exited-status-48

The problem is that mongo service won't start on boot if I try to bind the docker IP.

If I run sudo systemctl start mongod manually then it's OK. But after enable-ing the service and rebooting it's not running and from the logs I can see the status was 48.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
