How to install VISP from ubuntu packages?

I want to install visp on ubuntu 20.04. It is mentioned that:

To install them, simply type: sudo apt-get install libvisp-dev libvisp-doc visp-images-data

But I'm getting an error:

E: Package 'libvisp-dev' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package libvisp-doc

Can you please tell me how can I install this package properly? thanks.

I have installed Ubuntu 22.04 in WSL2. I expect that the bash shall be started in the home directory that I find in /etc/passwd as

harper:x.1000:1000:,,,,:/home/harper:/bin/bash

But after starting wsl -d Ubuntu-22.04 the bash is somewhere in the Windows tree: /mnt/c/WINDOWS/system32. I only need to issue the cd command to get into home. And I could add this in a last line of ~/.bashrc. I already checke ...

Recently openssl 3.0.2 was listed with a few vulnerabilities. OpenSSL from the site is 3.0.11 and it is a fairly complex and dangerous route to try and upgrade the package manually. Will this be available in update centres soon?

Messed Up Video for Quake2

I was trying to find the optimal video settings for Quake2 on my Ubuntu 20.04 laptop and messed up the video, so that I cannot change the video settings on the native screen.

Does anyone know where this config file would be for Quake2's video setting?

I tried uninstalling the quake2 package, even using -purge, and the same with game-data-packager as well, and then reinstalled.

Firefox stops launching from the dock, but is fine from terminal

Recently, my Ubuntu 22.04 Desktop installation has developed an issue where after a few hours of uptime Firefox won't launch from the dock icon but does from the terminal.

What is [Errno 2] in pip installation?

I am setting up pip using the official documentation on an Ubuntu 22.04 LTS system, and when I execute the python get-pip.py command, I get an error message stating:
