Tried to change sudo to not prompt a password -- locked out of sudo visudo?

This is probably an incredibly stupid question -- but is it possible to lock yourself out of sudo?

I used $sudo visudo to edit the text file and give no password permissions so I don't have to sudo every 10 minutes. I realize that there are security risks to this so I went back to change it to the default and work out another solution. Now I can't access it without a password.

Also, I can't give a scree ...

Why is my WiFi connection erratic after upgrading to 21.10?
in flag

My WiFi connection is usually strong and solid and reliable. I recently upgraded from 21.04 to 21.10 and now my WiFi connection will simply drop sometimes. My remedy is to go to my menu at the top right of my screen and manually turn off my wifi and then turn it back on again. The computer reconnects, and I'm good...except when I'm not. I'm running a 2014 MacBook Air, and did a kernel modification via  ...

After sorting out account configuration issues very recently with Thunderbird, and having it work perfectly with 21.04, the program now is erratic when sending mail. I am unable to quit Thunderbird with either the top left menu Quit command or the keyboard chord command. Ubuntu 21.04 - unexpected shutdowns

My computer on Ubuntu 21.04 shuts down unexpectedly, at random times. It shuts down while there is like more than 3 hours left until it gets drained completely, but once it gets to 50% and less of battery power, it shows then that there is left only less than 45 minutes, and then shuts down. The computer won't boot if I pressed the power button, until I plug it in. I've tried switching back and forth b ...

Mouse click stuck and occasional keyboard freeze on Acer with Ubuntu 20.04
in flag

I recently installed a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 on an Acer laptop.

Many times a day the mouse click freezes. I can still move the cursor, but it is stuck on click and I cannot do anything with it other than move it around. Occasionally the keyboard freezes as well, but the mouse is the main issue.

The only way to solve this is to restart the computer, but quite often the mouse click is stuck immediately a ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
