New mail server and empty mail content - winmail.dat

I have two IMAP accounts in Outlook 365. If I send an e-mail from my 1st account to 2nd account the e-mail is received I can see the subject but the message body is missing. Instead I can see that there is an attachment but can't view it either. If I open the given e-mail in other client e.g. Rainloop (web interface) I can see the e-mail content and even the attachment - winmail.dat.

Testing unattended-upgrades with actual package updates
pe flag

I've followed the tutorial from Debian (which is virtually identical to the one from Canonical) on how to set up unattended-upgrades, on an 18.04 server VM. I primarily want this for email update notifications, as a "set it and forget it" kind of thing. But when I do a dry-run of unattended-upgrade, I don't get an email notification. I read somewhere that some versions of unattended-upgrades don't send  ...

CPU frequencies wrong

So after I installed Ubuntu to my laptop, I was amazed at how quiet the laptop became. Previously on Windows the fans constantly ran at full speed. However, when I started gaming on it, framerates became a huge problem. They're nothing like the framerates achieved on Windows. Same with High Performance mode, quiet fans, crappy framerates. So I ran lscpu, and it returned with this:

I'm trying to get ibus-mozc to work under WSL2. So far I can switch to different inputs using the configured shortcut, but no candidate window is displayed as I type which prevents me from inputting any Japanese characters.

Steps I've tried:

  2. Put the following into my ~/.profile:

How to change idea.max.intellisense.filesize if Toolbox is used?

I am using Intellij Idea toolbox for managing a couple Idea versions on Ubuntu 20. Because I work with large files, Idea is not able to completely load them, hence, some of the code is marked as red while it is being built just fine. I tried to change the idea.max.intellisense.filesize property in: /snap/intellij-idea-ultimate/309/bin/idea.properties However, it says that the file-system is read-only, s ...

Using GPU for Machine Learning without connecting it to monitor

I recently bought an NVIDIA GPU. I currently don't have the HDMI cable to connect it to my monitors; however, I intend to use it exclusively for Machine Learning, so I was wondering if it's possible to do that without connecting it to a monitor. It doesn't seem to work by default; when I tried to install drivers, I got an error message telling me that I don't have the right GPU plugged in. Also, torch.c ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
