How can I replace strings in lets say 'last 10 lines' of multiple files?

I have about 100 files with the same extension '.txt' and I would like to replace string 'GLN' to 'LOO' in the last 10 lines of each file. How do I do this? I know how to do it for one file but not for several files. When I use this command ;

for i in `head -3 *.txt  | awk '{print $4}'`

How do I link my keyboard keys to control audio AND to display the according UI?
cn flag

I have a new keyboard and could not control audio on my system at first. Then I found this question that let me create a shortcut to edit the volume. This somewhat works, however I would still like to have the according UI (see attached image) to show up as well. Does anyone know of a fix that includes this part of audio changing as well?

Was using Ubuntu 20.04 till a couple of days ago where I upgraded to 20.10 to resolve some issues.

Recently I updated from LibreOffice 6 to LO7 as I needed Digital Signature Certificates to work. This issue has been present in LO6 and previous versions for a while for many people. Now in the upgrade process I installed the LO7 appimage to test it, before wiping out my LO6 installation. Digital ...

Ubuntu won’t boot after changing swap size and running out of space

I was doing a memory-heavy project in python and kept getting an error (137 SIGKILL 9, something like that), so I looked up a solution and it said to change the swap size. I copied and pasted the commands I found into terminal, and it started copying some files:

# disable the use of swap
sudo swapoff -a

# create the SWAP file. Make sure you have enough space on the hard disk.

The output is called "Headphones - Starship/Mattise HD audio controller". Other outputs work, those would be my 3 monitors, so "HDMI/Displayport 1/2/3 - HDA Nvidia" and my speakers tha ...

Lately I’ve installed an application (Rabix composer), which gave me no problem at the beginning but now, as soon as I launch it, the cpu fan starts to spin faster, the app gets slow, eventually freezes and sometimes blocks the entire VM.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
