Ubuntu Desktop (20.04 LTS) Keeps prompting for WiFi password
id flag

I recently just installed Ubuntu Desktop (20.04 LTS) on my PC. Out of the box, it did not come with a wireless driver for my TP-Link USB wireless adapter. After installing the RTL8812AU driver, it now constantly keeps asking me to enter my WiFi password even though it is set to save the password, and I'm typing it correctly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Where can the Classic Menu Indicator be found?
mn flag

"Classic Menu Editor" and "classic menu editor" are terms that Ubuntu does not understand. On the other hand, type "sudo apt-get install classicmenu-indicator" in Mate Terminal and your wish will be granted.

I found and installed Samba, but then it disappeared. What I'm actually looking for is a way of transferring data over a crossover network cable.

Lightweight DNS Proxy for IPv6

I have an IPv6 prefix with reverse DNS on my Windows domain controllers and that works fine internally. Now I also want it to work for the Internet, so I need to delegate the ip6.arpa domain to my DNS servers. I could delegate directly to my DCs, but, sorry Microsoft, no way! I have a very small vServer on the Internet, so I thought I delegate there and forward queries to my DCs. I know that BIND suppor ...

How to access/mount Android drive in Kubuntu 20.04 with other file manager than Dolphin?
br flag

Answering this question I have found that Dolphin doesn't mount Android locations, it accesses them via separate KIO processes.

An effect of that is that other file managers are not able to see the Android drive in Plasma as they do in other desktops like Xfce, Gnome and others. I have tested Double Commander, Thunar and muCommander. None has access to Android drive, while that is accessible in Dolphin.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
