create clone with dd to another drive
in flag

So I want to backup what I have done to Raspian using my Ubuntu laptop and followed the advice at the below link. so using this command... sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=~/sd-card-copy.img bs=1M status=progress this is all very good, however, my laptop only has 24Gb spare and the memory card is 128Gb! this command seems to want to write the entire memory card size even though it is only 10Gb of data.

configure unattended-upgrades with override.conf
cn flag

Can I configure reboot for unattended-upgrades with override.conf?

Instead of /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades I put Unattended-Upgrade::Automatic-Reboot "true"; in /etc/systemd/system/unattended-upgrades.service.d/override.conf. But the syntax is different and I'm not sure if that would work.

It's not a fresh installation and my laptop worked well before.

I've tried to repair the partitions with fsck, used grub utilities to repair and update it, tried a recovery mode, and edited grub to fix the poor nvidia driver compatibility with Linux

Have you any suggestions or things I have m ...

Tiny R plot window

Producing R plots in a new Dell XPS-13-9310 running Ubuntu 20.04 opens tiny windows. Here is a screenshot of the phenomenon: enter image description here

Resizing the window will not increase the size of axis labels proportionately. I tried tweaking the Settings>Displays resolution with only slight improvement---while bigger, the plot window remains much smaller than in my older XPS-13 with 16.04.

The display is high-def LCD:  ...

Every time the notebook wakes up, it pastes the clipboard into the current application

I want to get rid of the minor annoyance I have for over a year.

I have a Dell XPS 9500 notebook with Ubuntu 20.04, and i3wm installed on top of it.

Every time my notebook wakes from suspend, it pastes the contents of the clipboard. How can I prevent it?

The problem is that I don't know how to even start troubleshooting it;

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
