Duplicate?

In the linked question I've posted my sources.list and it was deemed nothing out of the ordinary. So how could my question be a duplicate of fixing sources.list? How is that even remotely helpful?

Original question:

I installed steam from their website. Steam wants to install a bunch of packages, and stops with this error:

Steam needs to install these additional packages:

ng flag

Long story short, I switch to Linux from mac OS originally. First, I tried Pop OS and it was great. After seeing Budgie, I wanted to switch to Ubuntu.

I had followed this article while using Pop to mount my Synology drives and get Plex up and running and was successful. However, after switching to Budgie, I followed the same article and Plex cant see the path to my movies.

How to reset touchpad driver?
in flag

A problem I've noticed on several laptops running Ubuntu is that, after a few days or weeks, the touchpad will often become unresponsive. Attaching an external mouse will work, but the touchpad remains disabled. The only solution I've found is to reboot the laptop.

I've experienced this problem on a Macbook and a Dell laptop, so very different platforms with very different drivers.

So I'm freaking confused. I'm trying to specify local DNS servers for our domain. This Ubuntu Server 20.04.3 doesn't use the old interfaces file. I configured the yaml file for netplan,

Ping to avahi device does not work all the time
es flag

I just added a NAS to my home network and gave it the hostname mynas. I tried to access the NAS from Kubuntu 20.04 (especially via Samba). It works fine when using plain hostname, but it fails when using "mynas.local".

I.e. ping mynas works fine, ping mynas.local does not.

I understand that .local names are resolved using Avahi/Zeroconf (Bonjour). So I run avahi-browse -at which properly locates the NAS. ...

How do I re-connect a wireless Brother MFC-J430W printer in Ubuntu? It's common for my printer to stop working after the updates I receive/install for my system. The new fix always seems to be different than the previous fix.

ZFS Case Sensitivity is supposed to be settable post-creation, but it's 'read-only'
ru flag

According to this Oracle document on Settable ZFS Properties, casesensitivity is supposed to be a settable property post ZFS Pool creation but, regardless of the value I supply, I get a 'read-only' response:

see attached screenshot

I understand that messing with case sensitivity on an existing dataset sounds pretty bonkers, but the current need outweighs the potential dangerousness.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
