Reducing the distance required to un-maximise window by dragging down

Is there any way to reduce or remove the distance required to unsnap a window in gnome? In order to un-maximise a window by dragging down, you have to move the mouse cursor about 20 pixels down. This has the effect of making window management feel jerky. Whilst in windows, the window begins to move as soon as the cursor is moved down.

Here is a video to try and explain what i mean in more detail

I have Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS and I'm trying to install drivers for my Linksys WUSB6300 Network adapter. I've tried two solutions so far and neither worked (How do I get the linksys WUSB6300 wireless adapter to work on linux and https://github.com/morrownr/88x2bu). I'm currently using ethernet but that's not a long term solution. The drivers work fine on Windows (the network adapter acts like a usb drive and  ...

volume buttons behaving wierdly
in flag

I have 3 volume buttons on my keyboard, mute (which works fine), volume up and volume down. when I press volume up for 0.5 seconds the volume instantly maxes out (same story for volume down except it mutes instead), while quickly clicking the button increments it. This is really annoying since I would like the volume to slowly increase (like it does on windows). Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? ...

Recently, my Lenovo Edge E545 (16GB + lots of spare space on my SSD) began to take a few minutes to startup. AFAIK, I didn't change anything, but after the initial BIOS display, the screen goes blank for almost a minute before the GRUB screen shows.
And then, when I press the arrow to make a selection, it takes about a ½ second to move to each selected line.
As well, if I add a default timer to GRUB, the ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
