I had a lot of problems with my opencv installation and along the way I accidentally deleted the opencv folders in /usr/include. How can I recover them in the right way so that the following error doesn't occur when I try to catkin_make my ros workspaces?

Kernel driver for USB Cameras missing (v4l2) in my 20.04.2 LTS - how to get?
cn flag

I'm not getting any /dev/video* devices from any of my old and new Logitech usb cameras.

lsmod shows me nothing v4l2 related.
modprobe -c | grep v4l2 returns nothing.

Iv'e tried various update commands but none seem to be installing any v4l2 kernel drivers.

Can anyone tell me how I can install the v4l2 kernel drivers?

Cheers!

Recently I came across this Ask Ubuntu post about adding physical interfaces to an Open vSwitch bridge. The answers from Lukas Maerdian and Denis helped me a lot, but I still have one problem.

When I add the physical interface enp0s3 to the internal Open vSwitch port br-ex using the interfaces mapping inside the bridge br-ex, I can't get enp0s3 to reach the UP state during boot, I have to manually ...

enp0s25 interface keeps reappearing in Ubuntu 20.04.03 LTS

I've just started seeing something odd in my system (Ubuntu 20.04.03 LTS). I've got a hardwired connection to my system, and noticed in the past few days that I see the interface enp0s25 as one of my pulldown options for a wired connection. I saw that /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections has a list of all my wireless and wired connections, and saw a file 'enp0s25.nmconnection' there. I moved it som ...

Windows 10 Touchpad and Keyboard Not Working in Ubuntu

I am very new to Linux, and recently installed Ubuntu to dual boot with Windows on my Windows 10 Surface laptop. However, while installing and logging into Ubuntu, I realized that the inbuilt keyboard and the touch pad were not working. Sound is also not working, but I'm unsure if that is related in any way. The keyboard works in BIOS, but instantly shuts off/disconnects when I boot Ubuntu, and both the ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
