Getting "Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page" and I'm not a webserver
br flag

If I go to a URL, say http://www.thenoblelion.com/, it brings me to the "Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page" instead of the actual URL. This is NOT my url, I'm trying to browse to it. It happens on a handful of other websites as well. And the URL's work on my Windows machine, but not my Ubuntu machine. I stopped Apache2 with "sudo systemctl disable apache2 && sudo systemctl stop apache2" but t ...

How do I set up dual boot when Windows is already installed?
vn flag

What would be the best way to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows? I already have Windows installed and I don't want to lose my files. I just want to tinker around with Ubuntu and see if it works for me! All the guides I've seen start out with Ubuntu installed or used Windows 7. Can someone give me a link to a good tutorial on how to do this?

proxy is only working with GUI but not when I set through terminal with ~/.bashrc
gb flag

I have read a lot of guides about setting a proxy for ubuntu. I can do it with the GUI in the network settings and it automatically starts using the proxy I specified and when I open firefox or chrome to check my ip it shows the proxy ip.

But I'm not able to get it working with terminal by editing the ~/.bashrc file. I do it like this:

sudo nano ~/.bashrc

then add this at the end of the file

Ubuntu Software Center for 20.04

I cannot find Ubuntu Software Center (USC) for 20.04 . USC showed not only end user applications that were installed, but systems software applications, including kernels, that were installed, as well as the update history. "Software" (gnome-software shown in top when the Software icon is activated) only shows user applications, not the kernel. Has USC been discontinued?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
