Unable to install Percona on Ubunutu 22.04

I wrote a code in C using libsane. It worked perfectly in Ubuntu 20.04. Now it crashes in sane_open. I ran my code under strace and I see the crash happen. I run it with "escl:http://192.168.4.20:80"

Here is the output from strace:

Ubuntu 22.04, when I analyzed the disk space, just realized that my kern.log and syslog files are getting huge, taking gigabytes of my disk space. When I opened the files, I saw a similar pattern in both, having the following type of messages repeated many many times:

I've reinstalled an older 22.10 version which I still had on my thumb drive and the audio worked there. I have tried as described here (nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500 ... etc.).

Problems:

  • Shift key no longer gives access to the boot menu, so I can't complete it.

  • Keyboard and mouse freeze 10-15 seconds after boot.

  • During boot I got "critical medium errors". (How to see them again?)

I have chosen the erase disk install Ubuntu option.

nvidia-smi reports PCIe link generation to be 3 when using 4.0 riser cables but 4 when connected directly

Even more strangely, upon boot, with the cables, initially it seems to see both cards as PCIe4 - but then it immediately reverts to 3. Is there something thats causing this?

I dual booted xubuntu latest version with win 10 but for some reason wifi on win 10 works fine and on Linux it keeps fluctuating and disconnects most of the time. I suddenly have no audio on Ubuntu 22.10

I don't think I've recently updated anything, but I suddenly found myself with no audio coming out of HDMI. On 3.5 jack on the motherboard only the left channel works. Bluetooth devices work only in mono.

I've ruled out hardware defects as the setup works fine under Windows.

The only clue I've got is the image attached. I don't remember having the last two lines.

As you noticed I was able to do that, but I reinstalled Ubuntu on an SSD instead of HDD, maybe because the first time I made an efi and swap partition when installing Ubuntu the first time. I really don't know what the problem is from, although it wasn't there before. I'm using simple copy/paste shortcuts or the mouse.
