A strange event during software update from inside "Discover" caused wiping of my custom profile and many personal files, both in my home folder and a separate partition.

Ubuntu MATE Battery percentage shows up in lightdm but not available after logging in

I was attempting to run Luminar AI in the Virtual Machine with Windows 10. It gave me an error saying I needed to update the graphics driver.

I installed rEFInd and created a bootable Ubuntu 22 v running.

But when I choose Installation Type, I do not get the option to "Install Ubuntu alongside MAC OSX", but only "Install Ubuntu (Will erase data on partition...)"

I created the bootable USB stick with etcher.

Proprietary drivers not used on restart

I have to force NVIDIA drivers every time I restart or suspend my machine (Dell XPS 15) on Ubuntu 22.04.1. If I forget to set it my battery drains very quickly.

Every time I pick up my machine I have to go to Additional Drivers in Software & Updates it says "No Proprietary Drivers in Use" and then a couple seconds later it automatically changes to Using NVIDIA driver.... I don't even have to select,  ...

The checkbox Set date and time automatically in Date & Time - System Settings is greyed out. Not sure how to understand it. Is the time updated automatically or not? Are there any command to find it out? And if it's not updated automatically how to activate this option?

I have not made any specific changes, but Ubuntu suddenly hangs at boot with following logs:

and then hangs forever.

So I am tryig to connect my earhphones to the laptop. I'm currently running a Ubuntu 20.04.5 version.

The issue is that even though I am in "pairing mode" on my earphone and the laptop recognizes the earphones in the bluetooth menu whenever I try to use the toggle to connect, it just returns to 'disconnected' status. I cant get the toggle to connect the earphones! Please help
