Laptop is not turning on after suspending it

I recently bought a new MSI GF63 Thin 11UC and installed Ubuntu 22.10 in it. Whenever I suspend my laptop it doesn't wake up anymore. I have to hard press the power button to shut it down and then turn the switch again. My specs, kernel and drivers:

i7-11th gen 11800H

NVIDIA RTX3050

Ubuntu 22.10

Linux 5.19.0-29-generic

Nvidia 525-proprietry-tested

Black screen at normal boot; login loop at terminal boot - after upgrading 20.04 to 22.04:

After upgrading Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to 22.04 LTS, my workstation (which has a Nvidia RTX 3080 12gb installed) ceased being able to boot. Regular boot attempts results in the well known black screen with blinking and non-responsive cursor.

However, in my case, if I drop to terminal mode, e.g. with Ctrl+Alt+F1, login attempts with any user name/password registered in the system leads to a terminal login loop ...

Portainer docker container behind Nginx reverse proxy

I have set up an nginx reverse proxy on an Ubuntu 22.04 server and I have successfully obtained ssl certificate from lets encrypt. The two keys are stored here:

/etc/letsencrypt/live/test.ddns.net/fullchain.pem;

Get logged ssh user name and ip inside /etc/profile to send mail

I added the following code at the end of /etc/profile file, in order to send a mail through mailgun with info on user and ip connected, it sends the mail but I don't know how to get ssh user name and ip of origin?

Also is there a possibility of not being able to log in ssh if the method in /etc/profile fails

And another question: right now it sends mail on succesfull login (afaik), is it possible to ...

Ubuntu 20.04 CUDA 11.3 installation problem

I have a problem with CUDA 11.3 installation, I have followed official CUDA installation guide from nvidia step by step, several times, I've also tried different nvidia drivers. But no matter what i try either nvidia-smi or nvcc are not functional.

This is what i get after last step in CUDA installation (sudo apt-get -y install cuda)

Volume control keys cause other keys on external keyboard to stop working

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 and my keyboard is a jeDEL model number: k5O2 gaming keyboard.

My external keyboard is functioning correctly, however when I press the volume control keys (volume + or volume -) all the other keys on the keyboard stop working. This issue does not occur when I am using Windows.

Nothing happens in xev when I press volume(+ or -) keys.

Unable to Dualboot (Ubuntu / Windows) with RAID1 Array, NVME M2 SDD & GRUB

I have a problem with the configuration of Dualboot Machine (Ubuntu/Windows) and a Raid1 array (2x HDD 5TB via RST).

I installed Ubuntu on sdd (SATA SDD). Windows was installed on a NVME M2 SDD. The Raid HDDs are sdb & sdc. There is another single HDD (sda) for data storage.

Here's the problem: I am not able to detect the NVME M2 SDD (with the installed Windows) in Ubuntu. Hence GRUB doesn't off ...

How to make ubuntu 22.04 use their own efi system partition when dual boot with windows 10

When i install ubuntu 22.04 alongside windows 10, my windows 10 has its own efi partition with 100MB in size, i create 1GB efi partition for ubuntu (after i see common size for efi ubuntu is 550MB) but after finishing installation my ubuntu /boot/efi is mounted efi folder on efi partiton of windows. So can someone show me the way to make ubuntu use my given efi partition

Problem with dw5811e - after i off this card in Windows

i can't turn on WAN.

lsusb shows:

Bus 002 Device 003: ID 413c:81b6 Dell Computer Corp. DW5811e Snapdragon™ X7 LTE

But usb-devices can't detect this card. In Windows 11 it detected but show error code 10 and 43. The problem appeared after turning off the device in windows and restarting the computer. The machine is a Dell e5490

I am currently running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Any ideas?

Hi I have 2 screens with the native resolution of

1920 x 1080 16:9 and

1920 x 1200 16:10

When I mirror the display with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 16:9 in Windows then I get a black bars on top and bottom of my 16:10 and the resolution is fine and works normal.

If I try to do the same thing on ubuntu there are no black bars on top and bottom. The screen is just completely filled but distorted.

I have installed wine 7.0.1 on my Ubuntu 22.04 64-bit PC. I was looking forward to install Autotune using wine. I am trying to set up a systemd job to run once, with a delay, after activating it specifically. I do not want it to run on boot. I had thought that the following timer file would do the trick:
