Setup Git Credentials Manager to login to microsoft SSO

Company has a Gitlab server and uses microsoft login to authenticate.

Trying to clone a repository with HTTPS.

It just shows the Git Credential Manager window. I try to login with the company e-mail address but it doesn't redirect to the microsoft login page

Any advise on what configurations I need to add or adjust so it will open up this page to authenticate properly and be able to pull the repository ...

Thinkpad T480 Linux Battery performance

I recently bought a used Thinkpad T480. It has two batteries. New version of this laptop are supposed to have an 17-hour battery life. I don't expect Linux to necessarily match that, but even still I'm having odd behavior.

My Linux system (Ubuntu 22.04.1, running Kubuntu with 5.15.0-58-generic).

Windows 11 modifies UEFI boot options after reboot

Right now I have Windows 11 installed next to Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on my computer (same SSD). The thing is that every time I boot Windows, UEFI boot options are modified to the following state:

I have a trouble in reading DRM-protected DVDs on my computer (Ubuntu 22.04). Those DVDs I own personally and I just want to watch them. System tries to read the DVD 3 times and fails. Grub boots in MBR and can't find windows partition

I had linux mint and kubuntu installed with grub on the kubuntu drive. I deleted linux mint and reformatted its drive and did grub-update to refresh the installed distros. Now when I go to boot it starts in MBR (I have it set in my bios to boot GPT) with grub 1 instead of 2. It starts by asking commands, I type exit and it shows the boot entrys. But windows is not part of them. Any clue how to fix this? ...

Mythtv backend install problems

I am trying to install mythtv on Proxmox as Ubuntu 22.04 container. I had fallowed instructions on web and video on youtube

I ended with command:

sudo apt-get install mysql-server mythtv-backend mythtv-database

But after that I got only one windows asking about mythweb, so when it was finished I added user typing

sudo usermod -a -G mythtv mythtv

I had logout and wanted to configure mysql with

I used the code above to forward port 5000 to OpenVPN, the port was forwarded but all the request to my server shows that the request is from localhost, is there a way to port forward with the user IP?

Network error since power outage on a battery

This is a weird one. I had a little power outage and one of my headless Ubuntu server is not longer connecting to internet. All I see is these logs poppint every like 15 seconds

The weird thing is that this server is on a battery. It didn’t shutdown anyhow. I did rebooted since, no fix.

Cant remove snap atom in ubuntu 22.04

I am trying to remove Atom snap package from Ubuntu 22.04 with

sudo snap remove --purge atom

but I get the error message

Nautilus still says "do not unplug the device" even if the writing process is finished

After I click on the "unmount" icon next to the USB device in the file tree sidebar on Nautilus, the notification appears with the text "do not unplug/remove the device".

The problem is that the notification doesn't go away for several time, even if the writing process is already finished, also with that notification still visible in the right top corner I can remount the USN by clicking its name ...

Mok Enrolled/Signed Nvidia Driver Not Working

I have shim installed I have Secure Boot working and I enrolled my Nvidia driver successfully using mokutil, if I try to enroll Nvidia.der (my key) again with mokutil --import, it tells me that the key is already enrolled and it is going to skip booting into Mok Util screen upon reboot. I have an NVidia 750 GTX Ti and an NVidia 1050 GTX (may be or not be Titatium) The are installed in PCI slots in my Gigabyte gaming motherboard.

However, all I seem to be able to obtain with lspci, lshw, and nvidia-smi - is identification of the first board seen - the 1050 GTX.

I'm using the nvidia driver

I am on WSL2 and had/have Ubuntu 18.04 installed. I went through a couple of steps to upgrade versions (enabling systemd, creating a symbolic link for apt-pkg, etc.). I was finally able to run sudo do-release-upgrade successfully and cat /etc/lsb-release currently returns 22.04.1 LTS.
