How to manually transfer Firefox settings to the snap version?
in flag

I make use of Firefox sync but only for bookmarks, call me old fashioned but I choose not to send all my passwords for storage elsewhere.

Each time I start using a new computer, I transfer the directory:

~/.mozilla/firefox/whatever.default

to the new computer and make sure Firefox picks up its configuration from the files in that xxxxx.default directory. This has worked perfectly well for many years an ...

I really like the Orchis-dark theme, however I think that it would just be perfect if it had the buttons of the sweet-dark theme. How do I do this?

I've already tried modifying the gtk.css file in the Orchis-dark theme from

.titlebar.default-decoration button.titlebutton {
  min-height: 24px;
  min-width: 24px;
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;

I've just installed a generic SATA PCIe x1 4-port controller in my Ubuntu 21.10 Mate, (with kernel 5.13) box and found it didn't work. (Well the drives were detected but gparted hangs and errors). It uses the ASMedia 1064 chip. Motherboard is MSI b460m pro-vdh wifi. I've upgraded to the 5.15.2-051502-generic kernel with no change.

MOXA NPort Serial Device Server (npreal2) Driver is Gone After Kernel Update
cn flag

We use a MOXA NPort 5210-2 Serial Device Server (Serial to Ethernet adapter) with an Ubuntu 18.04 server. The Real TTY drivers are available directly from MOXA's website, and I'm able to install the driver without issue. But, anytime there is a kernel update, the driver has to be reinstalled. Is there anything I can do, so the driver will automatically be installed any time there is a kernel update?

Dynamic word wrapping in Kile stopped working in Ubuntu 21.10

Just noticed that dynamic word wrapping is not working in Kile 2.9.93 on Ubuntu 21.10.

The setting is in

Settings > Configure > Kile > Editor > Appearance > Dynamic Word Wrap

but no dynamic word wrapping is happening, regardless whether the checkbox is set or not. The same thing in Kate works just fine.

Any hints highly appreciated because typing or editing long lines without dynamic word  ...

I create VPS with API in Vultr Cloud. I have UserScript for a year and half. (UserScript is executed when VPS starting) That UserScript first installs docker

Partial fix for the issue is:

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
